What you will do

• Track work and document tasks in issue and project management systems
• Support cloud infrastructure using IaC practices like Terraform or Ansible with senior guidance
• Perform routine administration, maintenance, OS patching, and disaster recovery testing in AWS and Azure
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability while troubleshooting issues
• Assist with deployments through CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Collaborate with development teams and participate in on-call rotation
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

Requirements

• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience managing Windows and/or Linux systems
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (subnets, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, load balancers)
• Basic proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), Git, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Nagios, CheckMK)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and support occasional off-hours work

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience
• Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Terraform Associate)
• Exposure to containers (Docker, Kubernetes), AI tools (GitHub Copilot), ticketing (Jira, ServiceNow)
• Quick learner with strong desire for professional growth
