TL;DR
Disaster Recovery Specialist (Fintech): Leading and supporting enterprise-wide disaster recovery planning, testing, and automation with an accent on organizational resilience and compliance. Focus on driving innovation in DR workflows, managing ransomware recovery strategies, and ensuring system recoverability through robust metrics and reporting.
Location: Must be fully on-site, 5-days per week, in New York or Connecticut
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000

What you will do
- Lead enterprise DR tests including CMDB reviews, walkthroughs, and functional testing across infrastructure and business teams.
- Drive automation of DR workflows to reduce manual dependencies and improve response accuracy.
- Support ransomware recovery planning, including the development of isolated recovery environments and playbooks.
- Maintain DR documentation, including business function mappings, RTOs, and tier classifications.
- Develop and refine DR metrics dashboards and submit quarterly ORM reporting.
- Facilitate cross-functional participation in DR exercises with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or IT operations.
- Proven experience leading DR testing and coordinating multi-team participation.
- Experience with cloud-based DR solutions and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Exposure to cybersecurity and ransomware recovery planning.
- Experience with DR automation tools such as Continuity Patrol or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in metrics reporting.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
- Experience with ORM reporting and enterprise risk metrics.
