What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of security engineers, providing practical feedback and fostering professional growth.
• Own the internal security strategy, balancing security requirements with developer experience and compliance.
• Lead threat modeling for complex systems and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, Sales, and Customer Support to deliver secure SaaS solutions and security improvements.
• Drive the adoption of internal security systems and champion security best practices.
• Manage team operations including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and growing high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to build access strategies that balance usability, security, and compliance.
• Strong background in threat modeling complex systems and identifying security risks.
• Experience working with external stakeholders like IT and Procurement to deliver secure solutions.
• Deep understanding of internal IT environments, including Zero Trust, IDPs, SSPM, MDMs, and Password Managers.
• Ability to lead large, complex projects across multiple groups and track metrics at scale.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Java with mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with identity management technologies such as MFA, SAML, WebAuthn, or Okta.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks like SOC2, ISO27001, or GDPR.
