Mid-level Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office. Moderate alignment with US East Coast working hours is encouraged, from 10 AM to 7 PM EET/EEST. Work from almost anywhere is available for up to 20 days per year.

Base pay: €3,800–€4,800 gross monthly, plus applicable short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI solutions that create measurable organizational value.
• Transform complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with business and technology teams to understand challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Communicate project progress, findings, and business impact to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer.
• Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning, and deep learning, including hypothesis testing, regression, classification, optimization, and neural network architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience handling large datasets and relational databases.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, capital markets, or another data-driven and highly regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience building applications, solutions, or workflows with generative AI.
• Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing machine learning or deep learning models in production.
