Principal Platform & Release Governance Engineer (DevOps/Platform): Designing and implementing an enterprise-scale automated release governance framework (CAB 2.0) to replace manual approval processes with policy-as-code controls. Focus on scaling standardized CI/CD pipelines, embedding security and compliance guardrails, and improving DORA metrics across the engineering organization.

What you will do

• Define and formalize enterprise release readiness standards and maturity-based models.
• Replace manual CAB evidence gathering with automated policy-as-code controls.
• Design and scale standardized CI/CD pipelines with embedded security, quality, and deployment safety mechanisms.
• Systematically eliminate manual approval steps through engineered solutions.
• Drive cross-team adoption of standardized pipelines and maturity thresholds.
• Analyze release-related incidents to convert pain points into automated guardrails.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing or operating enterprise-scale CI/CD and release systems.
• Proven ability to transform governance-heavy or approval-driven processes into automated mechanisms.
• Deep expertise in policy-as-code, secure-by-default delivery systems, and automated compliance.
• Experience embedding safe deployment patterns at scale.
• Systems-level thinking across reliability, security, and velocity tradeoffs.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing or replacing CAB models.
• Experience in federated DevOps or platform organizations.
• Experience building AI-assisted release readiness or incident automation workflows.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm, containerization, and observability tooling.
