What you will do

• Support, maintain, and enhance application hosting and build platforms across AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub.
• Develop automation and internal tooling using Python, Java/Groovy, Go, and Terraform.
• Lead code reviews and champion engineering best practices regarding security, performance, and maintainability.
• Maintain reliable production environments and improve observability and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate across the Technology department and provide mentorship to other engineers.

Requirements

• Strong experience solving complex engineering problems across distributed systems.
• Proven expertise working with AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Strong coding and automation capabilities across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to design end-to-end system architecture across platforms and services.
• Experience writing well-tested code, including infrastructure testing (e.g., Terraform Testing, BDD-style integration tests).
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Glasgow.
