Software Engineer II (Embedded)

Compensation: $100,781–$147,813 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure software and HSM firmware.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.
• Participate in requirement reviews, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product requirements.
• Apply secure development life cycle and threat modeling practices.
• Work independently on project assignments with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience in C programming.
• Experience with cryptographic programming (PKCS#11, encryption, key management).
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, C#, Python, or React.
• Experience working within multi-person teams and agile environments.
• Must be able to work on-site in Shakopee, MN three days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with PCI, FIPS-140, and EMV specifications.
• Experience with multi-threaded development and low-level security protocols.
• Knowledge of web services (REST, SOAP) and XML/JSON parsing.
• Experience with Linux and performance optimization.
