What you will do

• Talk to business customers about debt, solve problems, and agree affordable solutions to reduce debt and collect payments.
• Own collections expertise and support customers across billing and meter exchange-related queries to achieve positive outcomes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service over the phone and via email.
• Manage a portfolio of business customers’ debt and use learned knowledge to make commercial decisions for both customers and the business.
• Handle challenging conversations with empathy and provide solutions that go the extra mile.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal English skills for customer communication.
• Ability to navigate challenging conversations and resolve complex problems.
• Resilience and motivation to collect payment and reduce debt.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a basic DBS check.
• Not eligible for UKVI sponsorship (role is not sponsorable under the UKVI points-based system).

• Previous customer service experience (training provided if new to energy).

Hiring process

• Training also takes place in Syston for 8 weeks; come into the hub for 3 days during the training period.
