What you will do

• Design and operate scalable service mesh infrastructure for secure service-to-service communication.
• Implement service discovery, observability, traffic routing, and security features like mTLS.
• Troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems, Kubernetes, and Linux infrastructure.
• Improve platform reliability and performance through automation and internal tooling.
• Contribute enhancements to internal tools and open-source technologies such as Envoy.
• Support incident response and maintain platform availability and SLOs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required (no visa sponsorship available).
• 4+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Ruby, or C/C++.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols.
