Salary: $176,000 – $220,000 USD

What you will do

• Drive the migration from legacy scripts to a Temporal-based platform with replay-safe workflows and idempotency.
• Engineer technical solutions to eliminate systemic inefficiencies and make global fleet operations more autonomous.
• Build systems leveraging LLMs and ML for intelligent triage, signal correlation, and automated runbooks.
• Develop framework-type services to ensure new products are delivered automation-ready with reliability hooks.
• Implement comprehensive metrics, traces, and event logging to ensure all fleet-wide actions are explainable and auditable.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in hyperscale systems with deep knowledge of failure modes at massive scale.
• Mastery of backend languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
• Proven experience designing and operating complex distributed systems, focusing on concurrency and performance.
• Expertise in building automation using REST APIs and Swagger with strong idempotency guarantees.
• Expertise in operating hybrid infrastructure across AWS/GCP, GKE, and on-premise environments.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Jose, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-enabled developer or ops tooling to improve triage speed.
• Experience in testing orchestration systems, including fault injection and chaos engineering.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for high-scale stateful management-plane services.
