Principal Platform Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design and engineer application services for workflow automation, messaging/queuing systems, and ETL.
• Own and evolve the platform’s monitoring and alerting strategy.
• Develop software solutions utilizing scripting, backend, and frontend technologies.
• Build automation to support the configuration, testing, and deployment of software and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application development teams and subject matter experts to define the service roadmap.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing software solutions.
• 5+ years of experience developing modern software-driven infrastructure and/or platform services.
• Proficiency in Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Deep familiarity with Linux and related technologies.
• Experience designing and supporting workflow automation, messaging systems, or ETL frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Airflow, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Working knowledge of security best practices for SDLC (e.g., Secure Software Development Framework).
