What you will do

• Develop and execute high-impact PR campaigns and serve as the primary contact for Norwegian media.
• Influence policy developments regarding data center strategy, power grid access, and digital security.
• Act as the main interface for local mayors, councils, and community leaders.
• Draft press releases, op-eds, and speeches to translate global initiatives into local narratives.
• Design and lead community investment programs, including educational partnerships and local support initiatives.
• Support site leads in navigating local zoning, environmental assessments, and building permits.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in external communications, public affairs, or community relations.
• Native-level proficiency in Norwegian (written and spoken) is essential for council meetings.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Deep understanding of the Norwegian political system from Parliament to municipal councils.
• Degree in Political Science, Law, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven ability to negotiate win-win solutions between commercial needs and community concerns.

Nice to have

• Understanding of the Norwegian power market (Statnett, RME) and grid capacity.
• Existing relationships with Norwegian business media or government ministries.
• Experience in ESG, sustainability communication, or crisis management.
