Salary: $147,000–$183,750 USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices that power rate visibility and autonomous freight booking.
• Own the full feature lifecycle from database schema design to React-based frontend implementation.
• Integrate AI models and automated workflows to enhance pricing and booking intelligence.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex business requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentor peers, and maintain high engineering quality standards.
• Build highly available, secure, and distributed systems capable of scaling with global freight volume.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco, CA
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
• Full-stack proficiency with databases, backend services (Java/Ruby), and frontend frameworks (React).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) for deploying and maintaining services.
• Familiarity with AI APIs and machine learning model integration.
• 2+ years of experience in system design, architecture, and object-oriented design patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot or Ruby on Rails.
• Background in fintech, pricing engines, or booking systems.
• Domain expertise in logistics, supply chain, or freight technology.
