What you will do

• Perform maintenance and repairs on general patient care, diagnostic, and life support equipment to minimize downtime.
• Execute monthly scheduled inspections, ensuring a completion rate of at least 95%.
• Recommend improvements to equipment management to optimize usage and reduce costs.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies to provide purchase recommendations.
• Coordinate projects by documenting risks, reporting status, and adhering to change control policies.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and travel to affiliated system sites for support.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Biomedical/Electronics Technology and 2 years of experience, or DoD Biomed program with 2 years exp, or HS diploma with 4 years exp.
• Competency in at least 5 medical areas (e.g., Patient Monitoring, Defibrillators, Infusion Pumps, EKG).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in South Charleston, West Virginia.
• Physical ability to lift, pull, or push 45–50 pounds.
• Ability to work under high-stress conditions and handle confidential patient information.

Nice to have

• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification from the ICC.
