Senior AI Scientist (AI Products / Life Sciences)

Location: Redwood City, United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually for the NYC/SF range; $125,000–$185,000 for the CHI range. The range may vary for California, Colorado, Illinois, and New York locations.

What you will do

• Research, design, train, validate, and deploy production-grade multimodal AI models.
• Work with pathology whole-slide images, genomic DNA/RNA profiles, spatial omics, and longitudinal patient records.
• Develop AI solutions for biomarker discovery, therapy outcome prediction, and Companion Diagnostics.
• Collaborate with life sciences companies across the clinical and drug development lifecycle.
• Ensure AI products meet healthcare regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
• Publish original research and engage with the global AI research community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of industry experience leading end-to-end machine learning model development, from research and experimentation through validation and production deployment.
• Expertise in large-scale deep learning and training production-grade models.
• Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in leading machine learning or computer vision venues.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern deep learning tools, with strong product-level coding and software engineering skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision and multimodal modeling, including pathology or multi-omics.
• Previous work in medical or healthcare AI.
• Publications in medical or healthcare AI venues.
