What you will do

• Develop detailed flight test plans (objectives, methodologies, safety protocols, and resources) and coordinate requirements with design, systems, and software engineers.
• Plan and execute flight tests, including pre-flight inspections, system checks, and piloting UAVs remotely when required.
• Monitor and analyze flight data in real time to verify test objectives and troubleshoot issues with corrective actions.
• Collect, interpret, and report results, findings, and recommendations for design improvements; present outcomes to engineering, management, and external stakeholders.
• Implement safety protocols, perform risk assessments with mitigation strategies, and run post-test debriefs to capture lessons learned.
• Continuously improve test methodologies and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of aerospace engineering experience, including 3–5 years in UAV flight testing or a closely related field.
• Proven experience planning and conducting flight tests for unmanned systems.
• Experience with data acquisition systems, telemetry, and flight control systems.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and UAV airworthiness standards.
• Ability to work outdoors for significant periods in various weather conditions; occasional travel to support flight tests and demonstrations.

• Part 107 pilot certification.
