What you will do

• Lead and optimise AML and fraud transaction monitoring typologies and threat-based scenarios using internal data and 2LoD intelligence.
• Conduct transaction monitoring to identify, investigate, and escalate potentially suspicious activity to the 2LoD Investigations team.
• Perform and oversee complex Level 1 alert reviews, ensuring consistent dispositions and complete documentation.
• Apply risk-based judgement to investigation outcomes and provide subject-matter guidance on fraud risk indicators and investigative best practice.
• Support implementation and embedding of TM and fraud typologies and controls across relevant business areas.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and emerging financial crime risks, sharing insights to upskill the wider team.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in 1LoD financial crime investigations with a strong focus on AML and fraud transaction monitoring (preferably within Asset Management).
• Experience working in operational financial crime teams, including escalation, exception handling, and regulatory-driven deadlines.
• Strong understanding of AML, CTF, sanctions, and KYC regulations and how they translate into practical monitoring and investigative controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex analysis, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders at varying seniority levels.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage competing demands and pressured timelines.
• Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid, diverse, and multi-cultural working environment.
