TL;DR
System and Network Administrator (Windows/Linux/VMware): Maintain and improve Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Proxmox virtualization, storage, monitoring, and backup while securing multi-site network infrastructure with an accent on availability, security hardening, and disaster recovery. Focus on operating production IT tools and ensuring reliable access to production data across studios in a fast-growing environment.
Location: Lyon 9th (Gorge de Loup), France (occasional travel to Angoulême, Liège, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife) + remote policy (hybrid): 1 day/week on Fridays after 1 year of seniority, or 2 days/week on Wednesdays and Fridays after 2 years of seniority, plus 1 exceptional remote day per month.
Salary: €2,300–€2,900 gross/month

What you will do
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, VMware vSphere, and Proxmox virtualization; manage storage (TrueNAS) and critical infrastructure services.
- Monitor the information system using Centreon and Grafana; manage workstation/server deployments, licensing, inventory, and update/standardization automation.
- Operate Veeam B&R 13 backups, test restore procedures, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity improvements.
- Administer Google Workspace (users, groups, access rights, mailboxes, shared spaces, security rules, authentication policies) and support users.
- Manage network equipment and inter-site connectivity (FortiGate, switches, Wi‑Fi; IPsec tunnels/FortiVPN), implement security policies (MFA, GPO/Ansible, VLAN segmentation) and ensure TPN compliance.
- Provide IT support via GLPI, integrate production software, collaborate with Pipeline for internal tools, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in system and network administration (ideally in animation, VFX, or video game studios) and a Bac+3 to Bac+5 degree in Computer Science.
- Comfort working with Windows Server and Linux environments, virtualization, storage, enterprise networks, and monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of availability, security, backup, and user support challenges.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, NPS, VMware vSphere, Proxmox, TrueNAS, FortiGate, Centreon, Grafana, and Docker (or equivalent solutions).
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to support deployment industrialization and asset management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; strong service mindset, autonomy, and organization.
