What you will do
- Provide expert-level technical support and advisory services for assigned customer accounts.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within Linux environments, including kernel, file system, and network stack problems.
- Advise customers on maintenance, upgrades, and deployment strategies for software.
- Act as an escalation point for customer L2/L3 support and engineering teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their business processes and technical environments.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to resolve critical customer issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT, Services, Consulting, or Support roles.
- In-depth understanding of Linux OS components (Kernel, File system, Network stack).
- Hands-on experience with major Linux distributions ( Linux Enterprise Server, RedHat, CentOS).
- Experience with automation tools (AutoYaST, KickStart) and configuration management (Salt, Ansible).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure customer situations.
