Senior Technician (Groundworks)

Senior Technician (Groundworks): Supporting first-line maintenance and corrective tasks for RF system networks across North Scotland with an accent on site reliability, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure integrity. Focus on performing preventative maintenance, managing contractor safety, and ensuring seamless delivery of transmission services.

Location: Must be based in or able to travel throughout North Scotland (Dingwall, Aberdeen, and surrounding areas)

Salary: Up to £34,000 base salary plus 5% shift allowance and paid overtime.

What you will do

• Respond to faults and perform corrective maintenance on RF system networks to meet service level agreements.
• Execute preventative maintenance according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise contractors to ensure safe working practices and adherence to industry standards.
• Conduct testing and measurements to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory specifications.
• Participate in a 24/7 365 callout rota to ensure network availability.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all maintenance activities.

Requirements

• HNC or equivalent level 4 qualification or relevant professional experience.
• Working knowledge of RF systems, digital television, analogue radio, and telemetry.
• Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Willingness and ability to climb up to 60 metres on structures.
• Full driving license and ability to travel across North Scotland.
• Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
