Cardiac Monitoring Technician - 3rd Shift (Cardiac Monitoring)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; hybrid work with weekly in-office attendance. Candidates must live within 70 miles of the Deerfield office.

Salary: $23.95–$27.78 per hour.

What you will do

• Review 90-second ECG strips and algorithm findings for clinical accuracy and completeness using the Transmissions tools.
• Perform quality assurance on reports provided to medical professionals and update report formats when requested.
• Analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias with consistent accuracy.
• Communicate critical findings to medical professionals verbally and in writing.
• Contact patients by telephone to obtain follow-up transmissions when needed.
• Maintain productivity, quality, HIPAA, and Good Clinical Practice requirements while completing training and compliance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Certified Cardiographic Technician certification is required; an RN or Paramedic/EMT-P license or other approved certification may be accepted instead.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare, health insurance, medical devices, or equivalent education and training.
• Intermediate to advanced ECG rhythm interpretation skills and knowledge of cardiology medical terminology.
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring systems, Windows, Microsoft Outlook, other Microsoft Office applications, and the Transmissions Tool.
• Ability to work local third shifts and attend the Deerfield office as required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework.
• Experience in patient care, clinical operations, laboratory, diagnostic, ECG monitoring, Holter technology, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing, or critical care transport.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and facilitating training.
