Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 annual

What you will do

• Provide advanced production support for OMS, EMS, portfolio management, and market data platforms.
• Analyze the full trade lifecycle, including order creation, execution, allocation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, databases, APIs, and FIX sessions.
• Use MS SQL for complex querying, data validation, and diagnostics across large financial datasets.
• Collaborate with market data vendors like Bloomberg and ICE Data Services to resolve data quality issues.
• Develop automation tools and AI-assisted operational workflows to improve platform stability.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in financial technology, capital markets, or trading systems.
• Advanced MS SQL skills, including complex joins, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Ability to read and analyze application code in C#, VB.NET, Java, or Python.
• Deep understanding of the trading lifecycle and financial instruments (equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives).
• Strong knowledge of FIX protocol and electronic trading workflows.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Newark, NJ (minimum 2 days per week in office).

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic trading platforms in buy-side environments.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Tableau or other visual analytics tools for operational reporting.
