Technical Group Leader

TL;DR

Technical Group Leader (Automotive): Driving development of new and existing vehicle architectures within a vehicle program with an accent on zonal integration of new technologies, end-to-end technical delivery planning, and cross-squad technical problem resolution. Focus on delivering functional and attribute targets through virtual and physical verification/validation while acting as the voice of the customer for required arbitration.

What you will do

• Lead development of new and existing vehicle architectures, owning either Cockpit, Closures and Exterior, or Cabin Zone within a vehicle program.
• Drive integration of new technologies into the selected zone across new and existing vehicle architectures.
• Deliver functional and attribute targets, acting as the voice of the customer and leading arbitration when required.
• Build vehicle-level end-to-end technical delivery plans for key systems, managing inter-dependencies and maturation across virtual and physical test phases.
• Lead Technical Problem Resolution across squads/zones, escalating as required.
• Oversee Minimum Viable Product delivery into virtual and physical verification/validation throughout the programme lifecycle.

Requirements

• Automotive technical knowledge with advanced depth in vehicle, system, and component detailed design, development, and delivery.
• Ability to interrogate and ratify incoming technical standards, system and component assumptions.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading teams to solve complex technical issues using structured methods such as 8D and/or Six Sigma.
• Project management experience delivering against complex programme technical deliverables.
• UK work eligibility required, with ability to travel within the EU.
