About the Company

Our client is an international company that develops communication platforms focusing on AI, game mechanics, and video streaming.

One of their strategic projects is a next-generation AI Companion Platform. It is a sophisticated product where users interact with AI characters through personalized, emotionally engaging communication.

From an engineering perspective, this platform integrates several high-stakes domains: Conversational AI/LLM, real-time backend architecture, recommendation engines, and high-load distributed systems.

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to act as a vital "bridge" and synchronizer between two core departments: ML/AI (led by the Head of AI) and R&D (led by the CTO).

The main goal is to align interaction processes, eliminate bottlenecks in feature delivery, and ensure a seamless technical release cycle for a rapidly scaling product.

This is definitely a management role, but it has no direct reporting line; you will lead through influence.

This is a role for a "technical star" who can maintain a Helicopter View of the system while not being afraid to get their hands dirty with the code when necessary.

Your future tasks

• End-to-End Delivery Management: Manage the execution of complex Backend, AI, and ML initiatives from ideation to production.
• Cross-Departmental Synchronization: Align the fast-paced, research-heavy release cycles of the ML team with the structured Scrum/Sprint rhythms of the R&D team.
• Dependency & Risk Management: Proactively identify technical bottlenecks, manage cross-team dependencies, and resolve prioritization conflicts.
• Technical Oversight: Monitor code quality and architectural integrity, ensuring that technical decisions support long-term scalability.
• Process Engineering: Design and implement "technical rails" and delivery processes tailored for a rapidly scaling AI product.
• Stakeholder Mediation: Serve as the primary technical point of contact between Engineering, ML, Product, and Leadership (including the Founder).
• Influence without Authority: Build effective collaboration across cross-functional teams without having direct reports, driving results through technical authority and expert mediation.

We expect from you

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record as an Engineering Manager or ex-CTO.
• Strong Hands-on Engineering Background: Previous experience as a software engineer in Backend. You must be a "techie" at heart, capable of diving deeply into technical details.
• Architectural Vision: A solid understanding of system design patterns.
• Mediation Skills: Experience in managing cross-functional teams. Ability to navigate different team temperaments and reach agreements in high-pressure environments.
• Start-up Agility: Ability to work effectively in conditions of high uncertainty and build processes from scratch without "corporate weight."
• Your location (GMT +1 - GMT+7, except Russia, Belarus and Ukraine).
