What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end bid and proposals function for mini-competitions, major capital programmes, and DPC schemes.
• Develop and implement bid strategies aligned with business growth objectives and AMP regulatory cycles.
• Oversee the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling submissions while managing bid governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including commercial, technical, planning, and engineering specialists.
• Own and champion the CRM platform to ensure pipeline visibility, accurate forecasting, and data-led decision-making.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing bid team to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements

• Significant experience in bid leadership within the UK water sector (capital delivery, infrastructure, or engineering).
• Demonstrable track record of winning bids with UK water companies or regulated utility clients.
• Strong understanding of capital delivery models, procurement routes, and AMP cycles.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and experience driving adoption for business insight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and narrative clarity.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with DPC schemes or major infrastructure procurement models.
• Formal bid management qualifications (APMP or equivalent).
• Experience implementing or optimising CRM and pipeline processes.
