TL;DR

RWA Reporting and Analysis Manager (SQL/Python/Power BI): Lead Risk Weighted Asset (RWA) reporting and analysis for regulatory capital information, with an accent on accurate RWA calculations, daily/monthly leverage and RWA returns, and robust period-on-period movement analysis. Focus on building automation and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and traceability, and delivering actionable insights to Risk, Finance, and leadership.

Location: Edinburgh, Bristol or Cardiff (Hybrid working: at least two days per week / 40% of time in an office site)

Salary: £65,385 to £79,915 per year

What you will do

  • Calculate, report, and provide insight on Group RWA and regulatory capital information, including CCR, leverage and settlement risk exposures, and RWAs (using the Moody’s Ray calculator).
  • Maintain adjustment methodologies and ensure correct implementation in the RWA calculator, linking outputs to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Produce and validate daily leverage and monthly RWA and leverage returns across derivatives and SFT portfolios, ensuring compliance.
  • Analyse period-on-period movements and trends, identify anomalies, and deliver business commentary and regulatory/internal reporting.
  • Build and maintain SQL/Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis; enhance Power BI dashboards and use Power Apps to improve MI, checks, and analysis.
  • Partner with Risk, Finance, IT, and data leads to improve data quality and integrity; support audit/assurance reviews with clear documentation and data traceability.

Requirements

  • Fully accredited finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/ICAS).
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualified experience; experience applying RWA rules and calculations and interpreting PRA frameworks (e.g., UK CRR/Basel 3.1, EMIR) or, alternatively, 1 year post-qualified experience in accountancy/audit applying IFRS.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python (or strong enthusiasm to learn and build capability in these tools).
  • Power BI skills for dashboard creation and MI delivery.
  • Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
