What you will do

• Lead live breaking-news coverage during major events.
• Coordinate with control-room staff, on-air talent, and field reporters.
• Make split-second editorial decisions to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Serve as the primary editorial lead for weekend news specials.
• Collaborate with technical, graphics, and audio departments to maintain production quality.
• Produce live cut-ins and special segments as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years in broadcast or cable news production.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on breaking-news or live-event teams.
• Must be able to work on-site at 30 Rock in New York five days a week.
• Flexibility to work overnights and weekends as required.
• Proven track record of rapid editorial judgment under deadline pressure.
• Expertise in control-room operations and rundown systems.
