What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end technical design and evolution of IAM services, including authentication, authorization, SSO, and privileged access controls.
• Define the roadmap for scaling legacy systems into modern, distributed architectures.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and UX teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Set standards for engineering excellence through deep code reviews and technical design documentation.
• Oversee platform reliability, ensuring observability and resilience are integrated into core systems.
• Mentor and recruit top-tier engineering talent to scale security infrastructure.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years at a Senior Staff or Principal level.
• Deep expertise in IAM protocols including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and RBAC/ABAC models.
• Proven track record in designing and debugging large-scale distributed systems handling global traffic.
• Significant experience in designing and versioning public-facing APIs.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, TypeScript, Rust, or similar languages.
• Strong background in data security, authentication, and network security.

Nice to have

• Experience building observable systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana.
• Hands-on experience with containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) and Terraform.
• Background in security engineering or formal verification of protocols.
• History of leading multi-quarter projects from conception to global rollout.
