What you will do

• Build and improve core identity platform components including authentication (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML) and authorization (RBAC/ABAC).
• Ensure the authentication path remains fast and reliable through effective caching and token handling strategies.
• Integrate with enterprise identity providers like Okta, Entra ID, and Google Workspace while supporting SCIM provisioning.
• Partner with security and product teams to ship secure-by-default patterns and contribute to IAM lifecycle practices.
• Write clear architecture documentation and contribute to the team's long-term technical direction.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Solid hands-on experience operating production identity or auth systems (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT).
• Proficiency in Go; experience with Python, Java, or Rust is a plus.
• Strong understanding of authorization models like RBAC and ABAC.
• Experience operating distributed systems in production with on-call responsibility.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Exposure to workload identity (SPIFFE/SPIRE, mTLS).
• Experience with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
• Contributions to identity-related open-source projects.
• Familiarity with hirify.global or other durable-execution engines.
