Salary: Canada: $160k–$240k CAD; Germany: €95k–€145k; Netherlands: €90k–€140k; Portugal/Spain: €75k–€115k; UK: £90k–£140k

What you will do
- Design and build cloud-native microservices in Go for a real-time payments platform.
- Develop highly available, low-latency, and scalable systems to handle billions of payment requests.
- Take full ownership of services from initial design and implementation to deployment and production support.
- Collaborate in flat, autonomous teams with a focus on code quality, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
- Utilize modern tooling including Kubernetes, CockroachDB, and NATS JetStream in a highly automated DevOps environment.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
- Proficiency with Go and a "right tool for the job" mentality.
- Experience with cloud and containerisation technologies, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to own projects end-to-end and support them as they go live in production.
- Strong communication skills for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Must be based in the UK, EU, or Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java.
- Familiarity with CQRS and event-driven architecture.
