What you will do

• Develop electrical designs for water and wastewater assets including LV distribution, MCCs, and pumping systems.
• Prepare technical deliverables such as single line diagrams, load schedules, and cable sizing calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with BS EN standards, BS 7671, and CDM regulations.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to ensure integrated MEICA designs.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to design reviews, value engineering, and the adoption of new technologies like smart MCCs.

Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong background in electrical engineering within the water or process industries.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Deep knowledge of BS 7671 and relevant electrical standards.

Nice to have

• Chartered status or working towards Chartership (IET).
• Experience with hazardous area classifications (ATEX/DSEAR).
• Knowledge of digital design platforms like Revit or BIM 360.
• Experience with major UK water company AMP frameworks.
