What you will do

• Identify and implement infrastructure improvements in collaboration with the Head of Platform and Head of SRE.
• Increase system maturity by ensuring High Availability and developing robust disaster recovery (DR) plans.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and establish standardized deployment patterns.
• Lead incident response, resolution, and conduct detailed post-mortems and retrospectives.
• Drive knowledge sharing through tech-talks and obsessive documentation of Playbooks and Runbooks.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in DevOps Engineering and operating large-scale platforms.
• Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and distributed cloud systems.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudformation.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., AWS Aurora) and asynchronous messaging workloads.
• Experience with nginx and monitoring tools like DataDog or Prometheus.
• Must have existing right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with enterprise solutions running at scale.
• Knowledge of software best practices: Clean Code, TDD, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with Agile and Kanban development processes.
