TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS): Improving the resilience and performance of the platform with an accent on architecture optimization, infrastructure scalability, and CI/CD maturity. Focus on building high-availability systems, designing disaster recovery plans, and managing distributed cloud workloads on AWS.

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

What you will do
- Identify and implement infrastructure improvements in collaboration with the Head of Platform and Head of SRE.
- Increase system maturity by ensuring High Availability and developing robust disaster recovery (DR) plans.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and establish standardized deployment patterns.
- Lead incident response, resolution, and conduct detailed post-mortems and retrospectives.
- Drive knowledge sharing through tech-talks and obsessive documentation of Playbooks and Runbooks.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in DevOps Engineering and operating large-scale platforms.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and distributed cloud systems.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudformation.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., AWS Aurora) and asynchronous messaging workloads.
- Experience with nginx and monitoring tools like DataDog or Prometheus.
- Must have existing right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Familiarity with enterprise solutions running at scale.
- Knowledge of software best practices: Clean Code, TDD, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience with Agile and Kanban development processes.
