TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Virtualization): Developing an enterprise-grade hypervisor (AHV) with an accent on VM lifecycle management and security features. Focus on designing scalable distributed services and solving complex kernel-level challenges to ensure system reliability.
Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office). Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Salary: $156,000 – $310,800 per year

What you will do
- Contribute to the development of Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV).
- Design and develop new security features for the hypervisor.
- Maintain and optimize the reliability, performance, and security of AHV.
- Lead the development of features from concept to market.
- Interact with open-source communities to advance software solutions.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C and Python programming languages.
- Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS internals.
- Experience developing software at the kernel level for Unix/Linux/BSD.
- Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, storage, and network management.
- Skill in multi-threading, algorithms, and data structures on Linux.
- Strong Linux kernel mode debugging and device driver development skills.
