What you will do

• Supervise and deliver key packages of cabling construction projects.
• Assist in the production of construction plans and coordinate the engineering support team.
• Manage procurement of construction materials and specialist subcontracts.
• Ensure technical solutions on site align with engineering requirements and management systems.
• Manage street works permits and customer relationships during tender and delivery.
• Lead safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement across SHESQ standards.

Requirements

• Must hold a full UK Driving License.
• Minimum ISCED Level 5 qualification (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent.
• Substantial experience managing sites and field-based staff on cable or substation projects.
• Technical expertise in civil, cable, or electrical aspects of cabling projects.
• Proven experience in cable installation, jointing, and testing requirements.
• Must be able to work away from home and travel across England.
• Accredited safety training (SSSTS minimum), CSCS card, and IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

Nice to have

• Understanding of NEC3 Form of Contract.
• Knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA).
• CITB SMSTS certification.
• Scottish Southern Electricity (SSE) System Authorisations.
