What you will do

• Build and ship robust backend services and frontends with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, QE, DevOps, PO) to deliver end-to-end product value.
• Model complex business domains into clean and performant data structures.
• Own technical delivery for initiatives within specific domains or projects.
• Mentor and support other engineers to promote engineering excellence and growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering full-stack products using TypeScript/JavaScript and PHP (Laravel/Symfony).
• Strong backend skills with Node.js and PHP.
• Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks.
• Proficiency in designing REST/GraphQL APIs and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of authentication models such as SAML and OAuth.
• Must be based in South Africa

Nice to have

• Experience with rendering technologies like ffmpeg.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, DevOps, and public cloud (e.g., GCP).
