What you will do
- Manage the engineering process and deliverables across the full scope of cable projects in accordance with the agreed schedule.
- Lead a mixed team of electrical, civil, and CAD resources to deliver design solutions on time.
- Oversee engineering management, including delivery updates, change control, and risk management.
- Review, check, and approve technical deliverables, performing design activities as needed.
- Ensure all deliverables meet constructability and safety-by-design requirements.
- Coordinate HV cable design efforts with internal construction teams and external client teams.
Requirements
- Must have a right to work in the UK currently.
- Substantial experience in delivering HV cable design solutions and leading mixed technical teams.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English language.
- Strong understanding of health and safety impacts on HV cable construction contracts.
- Ability to work effectively within a dispersed and remote team using collaboration software.
Nice to have
- Proven experience working with British and European design standards and codes.
- Experience providing engineering inputs to cable construction planning and delivery.
- Proficiency in engineering management, including schedule and cost management.
- Experience supporting tendering activities and presenting technical outputs to clients.
