What you will do

• Manage the engineering process and deliverables across the full scope of cable projects in accordance with the agreed schedule.
• Lead a mixed team of electrical, civil, and CAD resources to deliver design solutions on time.
• Oversee engineering management, including delivery updates, change control, and risk management.
• Review, check, and approve technical deliverables, performing design activities as needed.
• Ensure all deliverables meet constructability and safety-by-design requirements.
• Coordinate HV cable design efforts with internal construction teams and external client teams.

Requirements

• Must have a right to work in the UK currently.
• Substantial experience in delivering HV cable design solutions and leading mixed technical teams.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English language.
• Strong understanding of health and safety impacts on HV cable construction contracts.
• Ability to work effectively within a dispersed and remote team using collaboration software.

Nice to have

• Proven experience working with British and European design standards and codes.
• Experience providing engineering inputs to cable construction planning and delivery.
• Proficiency in engineering management, including schedule and cost management.
• Experience supporting tendering activities and presenting technical outputs to clients.
