Coastal Engineer

Coastal Engineer (Civil Engineering): Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects for water and wastewater infrastructure with an accent on waves, tides, storm surge, erosion, and sediment transport. What you will do

• Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects, including shoreline protection and flood mitigation.
• Perform coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate waves, tides, storm surge, and sediment transport.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports for civil works projects.
• Support permitting and regulatory coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader infrastructure programs.
• Provide engineering support during construction via reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected (background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
