What you will do

• Write functional and design specifications for features related to traffic forwarding in cloud data centers.
• Independently implement and test software solutions using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop automated test programs to validate features and debug complex system issues.
• Collaborate with customer support and system test engineers to analyze and resolve network problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews of team implementations.
• Manage project schedules and report progress to the project lead.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 6-8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Deep understanding of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Experience with L2/L3 networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or Ethernet bridging.
• Ability to design and implement solutions for distributed systems with limited oversight.
