What you will do

• Architect, develop, and test designs for prototype and production systems for accelerator and chemistry synthesis platforms.
• Create detailed hardware and software specifications, test plans, and design-related documentation.
• Develop industrial test and HMI applications using LabVIEW following established methodologies.
• Implement industrial control applications in C on real-time operating systems such as Linux and VxWorks.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-precision imaging infrastructure.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, Test Stand, and other NI technologies.
• Experience in embedded systems development in C, including embedded Linux and bare metal MCU firmware.
• Knowledge of electrical instrumentation and controls design, including schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Knoxville, TN.

Nice to have

• M.S. in Electrical or Systems Engineering.
• Knowledge of accelerator physics and electronics.
• Experience with the design and operation of Radio-frequency (RF) systems.
• Background in medical product development and commercialization.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
