AI Engineer (Claude)

AI Engineer (Claude/Python/TypeScript): Building AI and agent systems to automate manual operational workflows with an accent on LLM agents, MCP connectors, and system reliability. Location: Remote (Global). Must be in sync with Eastern Time for key hours (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Salary: $5,000 – $7,500 USD per month

What you will do

• Design and ship end-to-end AI agent systems using Claude (API, Agent SDK, Managed Agents platform) to automate complex workflows.
• Build custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors for platforms without official integrations.
• Audit and upgrade existing Make, Zapier, and GHL automations by integrating AI layers for smarter routing and personalization.
• Develop production-grade code in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, managing the full lifecycle from whiteboard to production.
• Build lightweight reviewer surfaces using Next.js, Airtable Interfaces, or Slack handlers.
• Implement engineering discipline including Git version control, CI/CD, observability, and eval sets for AI behavior.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js, Next.js).
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with Claude, including shipped projects involving LLM agents or MCP.
• Expertise in API and webhook infrastructure, including retries, idempotency, and secrets management.
• Strong engineering hygiene: Git, code review, testing, and observability.
• English: Proficiency sufficient to write technical documentation and pair with native speakers on complex discussions.
• Time zone alignment: Must be available during Eastern Time (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM).

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM eval frameworks such as Braintrust, Langfuse, or Promptfoo.
• Experience with event or community operations software (Luma, Hubilo, Cvent) or platforms (Circle, Mighty Networks).
• Background working in small tech teams within membership or event-driven organizations.
