Software Engineer (Elixir)

Location: New York, NY, USA; hybrid or remote for the right candidate

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annual total compensation

What you will do

• Build and ship features for the core web platform and supporting applications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design through pairing, code reviews, and product and design feedback.
• Lead projects and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Fix bugs, address technical debt, reduce complexity, and improve code quality.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to a strong testing culture.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least four years of production experience with Elixir or another functional language.
• Solid understanding of OTP and experience building web applications with Phoenix and LiveView.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Product mindset and motivation to improve outcomes for users.
