TL;DR
AI Tech Lead (AI/Fullstack): Leading the end-to-end development of AI agents and agentic platforms for a leading digital insurer with an accent on AIOps, observability, and scalable full-stack architecture. Focus on designing secure AI-native solutions, implementing RAG and LLM orchestration, and uplifting engineering standards across squads.
Location: Hybrid (Australia) — 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end AI agent development lifecycle from discovery and experimentation through to reliable production operations.
- Set and uplift AI engineering standards, practices, and ways of working across multiple squads.
- Build scalable, secure, and observable full-stack agentic solutions using modern AI-native frameworks.
- Partner with product and design teams to translate business needs into technical delivery and reusable capabilities.
- Mentor and support engineers to build capability and confidence in AI engineering excellence.
- Champion the use of shared platforms, APIs, and design patterns (e.g., BFF/microservices) to accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of cloud-native full-stack experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python.
- Hands-on experience building AI systems using RAG and LLM orchestration (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph).
- Strong expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ECS, Lambda).
- Proven track record with DevSecOps, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and production ownership in regulated environments.
- Deep knowledge of AI observability, evaluation, and grounding tools (e.g., Langfuse, Dynatrace).
- Must be based in Australia to support the hybrid work model
