QA Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in Gdańsk, Poland. Candidates living outside Poland will be required to relocate to Poland after successfully completing probation, where practically feasible.

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for financial products, services, and systems.
• Perform both automated and manual testing of software and business logic.
• Conduct API testing with Postman and automate API tests using a JavaScript framework.
• Manage QA processes and verify that security requirements are met.
• Assist with automated testing scripts and tools, and continuously improve testing effectiveness.
• Maintain testing documentation and present ideas for software and service improvements.

Requirements

• Established experience in software testing, preferably on financial projects.
• Practical knowledge of testing techniques, API testing, test automation, and business-logic testing.
• Basic SQL knowledge, including normalized and denormalized databases.
• Experience with Postman and JMeter.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Higher technical education.
• Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Familiarity with the financial industry and regulatory requirements.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Java, C++, or another recognized programming language.
