11 bit studios is looking for an experienced Game Director to lead the development of an unannounced project. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for defining the creative vision, guiding production, and ensuring the successful delivery of a commercially successful and high-quality player experience.

You will own the project's direction from early concept and prototyping through release, collaborating closely with executive leadership, production, design, art, and engineering teams while shaping the creative identity of the game.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Define and own the overall game vision and direction
• Lead the project from concept, prototyping, and production through release
• Translate creative goals into gameplay systems, mechanics, and player experiences
• Establish design guidelines and creative direction for development teams
• Ensure all gameplay, visual, narrative, and technical elements support the project vision
• Drive ideation processes, pitching, concept development, and rapid prototyping
• Adapt creative direction to production and technical constraints when necessary
• Maintain alignment with executive stakeholders on creative and production goals
• Collaborate with producers on budgets, schedules, and development planning
• Support production best practices throughout development
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and resolve creative and technical challenges
• Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback
• Regularly review and play builds to evaluate quality and player experience
• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends
• Align creative goals with business objectives and audience expectations

📚 Required Skills
• 7+ years of professional experience in game development focused on design, art, or creative leadership
• Experience as Game Director, Creative Director, Design Director, Design Lead, Art Director, or Art Lead
• Experience leading teams of at least 20 developers
• Strong understanding of game design principles
• Experience prototyping and shipping games using Unreal Engine
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine capabilities and limitations
• Fluent Polish and English communication skills at B2 level or higher
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret data and make informed creative decisions
• Strong knowledge of current game industry trends and market dynamics
• Passion for creating meaningful entertainment experiences
