TL;DR
Principal Technical Level Designer (Unreal Engine): Implementing gameplay scenarios and technical level design elements using existing toolsets with an accent on building gameplay-critical features (checkpoints, objectives, enemy spawns, special events) and maintaining connected toolset workflows and pipelines. Focus on solving complex technical issues, ensuring level compliance with technical standards, and mentoring/leading Strike Teams while collaborating across programmers, designers, artists, and animators.
Location: PL, Warsaw (Remote/Hybrid). Open to candidates based in Europe only.

What you will do
- Implement gameplay scenarios using existing toolsets to create gameplay elements such as checkpoints, objectives, enemy spawns, and special events.
- Maintain the big picture of connected department features, identify weak spots, and drive improvements to toolsets, workflows, and pipelines.
- Work with programmers, game designers, artists, and animators to build essential tools/solutions, manage feature dependencies, and support cross-team collaboration.
- Assess designs, game features, and pipelines to identify risks and propose systemic improvements.
- Prototype and produce technical elements for game features; test new features/tools before rollout to the wider team.
- Ensure Level Designers comply with official metrics and technical standards; review blueprints and implement reusable prefabs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a technical designer position (at least one shipped PC or console title).
- Strong Unreal Engine 4 or 5 knowledge.
- Technical background with scripting languages and understanding of programming paradigms.
- Experience with multiplayer/co-op titles, including replication and network communication.
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization, plus strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- English: strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be based in Europe.

- Experience with multiple 3D engines.
- Experience designing tools and workflows.
- Interdisciplinary/generalist experience.
- Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or similar 3D packages.
