Mission Operations Specialist (Defense)

TL;DR

Mission Operations Specialist (Defense): Deploying and troubleshooting software and hardware capabilities in operational environments with an accent on tactical communications, sensors, and system integration. Location: Work full-time onsite in Hawthorne, CA. Regular CONUS/OCONUS travel required (50%).

Salary: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate, plan, and set up internal R&D testing, customer demonstrations, and deliveries.
• Support installation, configuration, and integration of company software and hardware systems.
• Lead basic system troubleshooting and support engineering teams in diagnosing hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, engineering, and program teams to ensure successful deployment.
• Act as the primary technical representative for military, government, and commercial customers in operational environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting military, government, or enterprise technology systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking environments.
• Experience with tactical communications, networking, sensors, UAS, C2 systems, or AI-enabled platforms.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to operate independently in remote overseas environments and mitigate mission risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools (Slack, Teams, Zoom).

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Military Science.
• Previous experience as an FSR, FAE, Systems Engineer, or Technical Operations Engineer.
• Knowledge of radar, RF, sensor, or weapons systems.
• Military background or extensive experience working with military organizations.
