What you will do

• Lead the bring-up of Perception software on new hardware platforms, including vehicles, sensors, and compute.
• Develop and evolve software to abstract hardware-specific logic, ensuring the Perception stack remains portable across multiple platforms.
• Prototype and run de-risking experiments for next-generation portable Perception software.
• Evaluate and analyze existing and hypothetical sensor hardware to provide data-driven recommendations for future HW options.
• Write design documents, implement changes, and monitor the long-term health of the software.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ for writing robust and efficient code.
• Advanced software architecture skills.
• Experience in sensor data processing (Lidar, camera, or Radar).
• Proven experience building, integrating, debugging, and evaluating ML-based systems.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View or San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Robotics.
• Experience with L4 autonomous vehicles or L2/L3 ADAS systems.
• Experience with the bring-up of new sensors or vehicle platforms.
