What you will do

• Build and extend platform services for federated identity, authentication flows, and authorization enforcement across products.
• Design and implement backend service integrations using REST APIs and event-driven messaging in Python or .NET.
• Support product teams with identity platform integration, debugging, and the creation of self-service documentation.
• Actively integrate AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex) into design, implementation, and validation workflows.
• Maintain operational health through structured logging, metrics, alerting, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Provide technical mentorship and code review support for L1 and L2 engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment.
• Proficiency in .NET or Python for backend service development.
• Hands-on experience implementing federated identity systems using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, and/or JWT.
• Practical understanding of authorization frameworks and multi-tenant SaaS integration patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial or open-source IAM systems or OIDC providers.
• Expertise in fine-grained authorization models like RBAC or ABAC.
• Prior experience in fintech or other regulated technology environments.
• Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
