TL;DR

Central Planning Manager (Energy): Developing and managing supply and demand plans for the COO estate with an accent on strategic forecasting, financial management, and resource optimization. Focus on building planning rigor, accurately forecasting staffing requirements, and leading a team of Planning Analysts to ensure world-class customer service.

Location: Hub based (Bristol, London, or Glasgow). Must be based in the UK; sponsorship is not provided. Office attendance is required at least once a week.

Salary: £42,500 - £53,000

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust supply and demand models using best-in-class statistical methodologies.
• Manage annual budget outlooks and monthly re-forecasts, providing financial "walk-downs" to senior leadership.
• Align tactical intraday and strategic forecasts to optimize shift patterns and secure operational SLAs.
• Lead and mentor a team of Planning Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct impact assessments and scenario modeling for business changes.
• Coordinate accurate forecasting data with internal deployment teams and external OSP partners.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in resource and capacity planning, from long-range strategic outlooks to intraday staffing.
• Advanced data analytics skills with the ability to translate data into commercial strategy and business decisions.
• Experience leading and coaching multi-site, matrixed teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills for executive-level recommendations.
• Background in technology, business transformation, or analysis in fast-paced, complex businesses.
• Must have valid UK work authorization (no sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Experience or deep understanding of the Energy sector.
• Formal BA training or certification (e.g., BCS or equivalent).
• Formal training in lean process design (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
• Certification or training in Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum Master or Product Owner).
