Business Analyst (Federal): Supporting a federal Chief Information Officer organization by improving business processes, managing project execution, and facilitating organizational change with an accent on stakeholder alignment and executive communication. Focus on translating complex operational information into actionable recommendations and polished deliverables for senior federal leadership.
Location: Hybrid – Washington, DC Metro Area. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Salary: $110,000–$140,000

What you will do
- Document current-state processes, identify pain points, and recommend improvements across IT and mission enablement functions.
- Develop client-ready deliverables including process maps, project plans, decision briefings, and executive presentations.
- Apply project management practices to track milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items.
- Support change management activities including stakeholder analysis, communications planning, and leadership engagement.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, working sessions, and requirements discussions with federal leaders and technical teams.
- Build trusted relationships by translating complex information into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or Management Consultant supporting federal clients.
- Experience supporting federal CIO, IT, procurement, or shared services operations.
- Strong project and process management skills including process mapping and requirements gathering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level presentations.
Nice to have
- Experience with federal budget formulation, acquisition, or financial systems.
- Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Power BI, MS Project, or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of frameworks like Prosci ADKAR, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP.
- Experience facilitating meetings with SES-level or executive stakeholders.
